A few words on Wait, weight a piece that will be realised on site. Made of concrete pressed between a sheet of glass and a layer of vaseline, it will retain a strong sense of how it came to be, of the process it went through. The title encapsulates 2 fundamental aspects of the piece: the time element and the use of gravity. Concrete sets quite quickly but humidity will take longer to evaporate as there is little circulation of air between the layers. As a result it will recall an effect similar to a breath on glass, droplets forming a cloud. I imagine it will take approximately the length of the exhibition to dry out.
Wait, Weight, literally grounds the show and relates to the other works on more than one level.

Objects in Mirror are Closer than they Appear
unosolo is pleased to announce Objects in the Mirror are Closer than thy Appear, a site-specific project by Giulio Delvè.
Delvè’s deriving actions are immediate, spontaneous and through the intrinsic narrative function of the things and their possibility to tell, they reflect on that which might occur when the artists’ act touches our surroundings.
Giulio Delvè’s intervention in this way investigates phenomena often on the edge of the law; through performative action reflecting on the meaning of appropriation, on the relation between public and private, collective and individual.
Giulio Delvè (1984, Napoli) live and works in Naples and Berlin. He studied at the Weißensee Kunsthochschule in Berlin and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. Recent solo shows include: 2011, Villa del vecchio, Gum, Carrara. 2008, Four Rooms, curated by Gigiotto Del Vecchio and Stefania Palumbo, Project Room Museo Madre, Naples.
